Support us to represent Tango Australia at the

World Latin Dance Cup in Miami in December

Tango World Latin Dance Cup

The story of the project

We are Jose & May (Argentina & Spain and now proudly Aussie representatives). Our project is to represent Australia at the World Latin Dance Cup in Miami in December 2015 and we need your help. We are the current Australian Tango Professional Champions 2015 and we won the title with this performance at the Australia Latin Dance Championship in Sydney.

We have been granted the Distinguished Talent visa by the Australian Government in 2014 for our Tango and Latin Dance knowledge. This has given us the opportunity to live in Australia and be able to complete our AUSTRALIAN DREAM. We moved to Australia 5 years ago and we have been achieving different awards and recognitions in Australia and around the world in this time.

28 years of dance experience between both of us have driven us to this opportunity. Now it’s time to show to the world what we can do BUT… we want the biggest prize to complete this dance career, we want to compete at the WORLD LATIN DANCE CUP in Miami in December … and we need your help to get there…

National Tango champions live in Brisbane, now aiming for Worlds

I wonder whether Dancing with the Stars and Strictly Ballroom – at QPAC from today – are giving people the dancing bug.

They are husband and wife team Jose Camean and May Carreras – from Argentina and Spain. And now that they’re Australian champions, they’re hoping to complete their Australian Dream by going one step further and winning the World titles in the United States.Did you know that the current Australian Tango champions live in Brisbane and they teach at Woolloongabba?

You can help them get there – I’ll tell you how shortly – but first our Loretta Ryan caught up with them after trying out one of their classes:

Jose and May need help to make the trip to Miami for the World Champs, so they’re asking for support through Crowd Funding. For details go to their website www.joseandmay.com.au
